CAll for Social Justice

Community Awareness Event – Part 4

Game Ready is proud to present our 1st Community Awareness Event focused on Racial and Social Injustice. We are partnering with Cops Care which is a CMPD Youth Focused Program designed for middle school and high school students to open the door and discuss basic constitutional rights and responsibilities in addition to valuable information on police/citizen encounters.

Why Now?

“It’s time to take a stand on racial and social injustice. In my opinion the best way to do that is within. I am committed to using my platform to help the Charlotte Community strengthen the fragile relationship between the Police Force and the Black Community. With open and honest communication, overall awareness, and education we can change the narrative for injustices plaguing our community and cities across the country.” -Ricky Price

A Film to Spark a Conversation

In Part 4 of our Social Justice series, we will be screening the new movie release “American Skin”. After the screening, there will be a recap session to unpack what we saw including a Q&A session and an open conversation with members of the Charlotte Police force. A sandwich Lunch will be included afterwards. We are partnering with 100 Black Men, a Charlotte-based nonprofit to bring this event to our area.
