Game Ready Summer Basketball Camp 2019 has come and gone but the memories our kids will have from their camp experience will last forever! 138 kids enjoyed 5 fun filled days of summer Madness. Our campers participated in stations drills including ball handling, perimeter play, defense, motion offense, speed and agility and the newly minted whiteboard station. Camp was extremely competitive as each camper took part in 5 on 5 games including knockout, free throw shooting, and one on one contest. As always Game Ready brings the fun to camp as campers had a chance to receive giveaways and prizes by winning games such as “Pop a Shot, 30 seconds to live, and Money Ball”. Camp concluded with Championship Friday which featured team playoffs, an awards ceremony, and the annual end of camp cookout. Many thanks to our sponsors Keffer Dodge and Jeep Concrete Flooring Solutions, Young Moore Attorneys at Law, and Wendy’s for playing a part in sponsoring underprivileged kids to attend this year’s camp. They all had an unforgettable experience of a lifetime! If you missed this year’s camp we look forward to seeing you next year as we plan to add an additional week of summer camp madness.

Tre and Matt Jones Visit Game Ready Camp
Over the years Game Ready Camp has had some awesome visitors come by and share their story and love for the game with our campers. Past guest speakers include Seth Curry, Gerald Henderson, Ryan Kelly, Nolan Smith, and Marshall Plumlee to name a few. This year, current Duke starting point guard Tre Jones and former 4 year letterman and National Champion Matt Jones came by to spend some time with our campers at Game Ready Summer Camp. Their presence was electric as they made a grand entrance as Matt jumped right into the camper vs coaches shooting game. Camper’s eagerly listened as both players spoke about their passion for the game of basketball and how important it is to work hard and listen if you want to be really good at the sport. Tre and Matt signed autographs for every camper and took pictures with our staff. They were truly 1st class! Many thanks to Tre and Matt Jones for visiting our Summer Camp and giving all of our campers something to aspire to.
Game Ready Does ESPN Radio and BLU Networking
Coach Ricky Price has taken the Game Ready show on the road! Earlier this month Coach Ricky was the Key note speaker at the BLU monthly Networking event. BLU Networking is a group of individuals created to connect the dots for people who want to do business together through the power of networking. He then followed that up with a visit to ESPN Radio located here in Charlotte to talk about the power of Leadership through Basketball and how he built Game Ready Skills and Development Training from the ground up.
